Sai Teja Meka, originally from Andhra Pradesh, India, earned his Bachelor’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Acharya Nagarjuna University and his Master’s in Pharmacology at Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. His master’s thesis focused on investigating neuroprotective HDAC inhibitors in preclinical models of Parkinson’s disease. He subsequently worked as a Research Associate at the Foundation for Neglected Disease Research (FNDR), where he developed and validated preclinical in vivo infectious disease models. Sai brings an interdisciplinary background in pharmacy, pharmacology, and preclinical therapeutics to investigate novel therapeutic targets and dissect tumor biology in malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors (MPNSTs). Outside the lab, he enjoys spending time with his partner, watching movies, reading novels, and playing chess.
